Alternatively for the Palm you can get the program I've just tried, Softick CardExportII. It turns your Palm and hotsync cable/cradle into an SD Card reader! I've even tried it on PC's without PalmDesktop installed and the Palm registers itself as a USB hard drive, it's really cool.
Anyways, no connection with the company other than a recently satisfied user! |

Wher do you get the list of postcodes from. I'm new to all this customizable poi's and gps. The download on this site appears to be for TT2.
Also, is there any way we can change the default preferences for choice of road - ie not use motorways, chose the shortest route, not the quickest route?
Finally, can we look up addresses from the palm address book? if so, how.
Many thanks |

Sorry, Tom- I've not signed in for a while. To find the UK postcodes, go to http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtompoi.php and download the CodeSearch files. Good luck, and please let us know how you get on.

|

Can anyone help, have tried to install update 4.40 for palm on Clie TG PEG50. This was working fine on previous version. After installing update, which appears to go fine, the clie does not reboot as indicated. After a manual soft boot when i start tomtom it freezes the clie with a white screen.
Any ideas?

Hi Toastie
My Palm T3 has a white screen, after starting Tom Tom 4.4, but it eventually goes away and shows the home position. It is worrying. Could it be something to do with the sd cards being slow?

Hi The_Mystery_Tramp
I've downloaded the post code files, but as you say, you can only see a few of them. How do I go about looking at them all.
I travel all over the south east UK every day, and find TT very useful, especially at night, saves having to stop & read maps!
