Display Road Names in Navigation Mode

Is there any way that you can set TTN3 to display the major road names whilst in Navigation Mode? Or can it keep up the voice guidance while in map mode? I seem to want the best of both modes!!

This is about the only thing I could fault the software on, but it does help to see the names of the roads at junctions etc. I am aware that it tells you the name of the next road to take, but would like to see more. The version of Copilot that came with my GPS sleeve did that - the only thing better than TTN3...

Maybe there is an add-on out there that does it???

I believe if you are in Navigation mode but without a route set or guidance turned off it shows the current road name and the next road name.

I noticed a poster on the way home from work today, advertising TomTom Go. On the screen shot, it shows a 3d navigator view WITH a few road names on it. I just checked the TomTom website and downloaded the TT software demo, which confirms it.

This is EXACTLY what I want for TTN3 - how can I get it???

What you saw is not available on TomTom Navigator 3 for PocketPC. It is a feature of the common navigation engine and is available on Palm, Smartphone and GO.

The next update for PocketPC is likely to bring the common navigation engine to the PocketPC version and at this point we will be able to see street names in Navigation View.
