hi.....plan to use my ipaq 1940 with a bluetooth receiver and tt 3.......what settings do i use in the gps setup.......

i have

COM 3
BLUETOOTH SERIAL COM 8
BLUETOOTH SERIAL COM 5
S2410 IRDA2410
S2410 COM 0
SERIAL ON USB


also which gps driver would you recommend to use......would 2.07 work

hi there

dont know if this helps but i got 1940 and got the tomtom3 gps reciever and works well together !

so on that i would say stick with the best !

Hi Newt,

TT GPS Driver 2.07 is a good one to use.

NMEA 0183v2 38400 is a good start too.
Try either of your Bluetooth COMs.

Don’t forget to pair you BT receiver with your iPAQ 1940 as well.

Like Ivan I also have iPaq 1940 with TT3 Bluetooth.
It installed well out of the box and all worked without me knowing how!

I did run into problems when I also installed Memory-map.

The default TT3 installation automatically picked up NMEA - Bluetooth COM8 which is fine if you only run TT however TT locks the port COM8 (even when it is not running).

TT support sent me an older GPS driver which now allows me to run both apps. (one at a time of course!).
