I would just like to applaud HOLUX UK for my recent customer service experiance.

I purchased a GR230 and after only 1 day of ownership my nephew for reasons unknown decided to throw it for the dog - the unit landed on concrete smashing each retaining pillar in the case.

I phoned HOLUX and explained the situation - the very nice lady I spoke to was sympathetic but explained the cases were not available seperately but if I could hold she would have a look around the lab for me - 2 minutes later she returned to the phone having located an "Empty Case", this was then dispatched to me the same day for a very reasonable cost.

Congratulations HOLUX UK top class service.

The only complaint I have is the review on Pocket GPS implied a neoprene case was supplied but I did not recieve one which may have sayd the day with the dog/nephew incident.

That is good customer service, and great to hear. I think Holux made a u-turn decision on the GR-230 with the neoprene case, one I only heard of in the past week by another user as they didn't receive the case either.

I enquired about a custom charging cable for my GR-231 and was pleased to receive a positive reply, with the item manufactured to order and delivered the next day - excellent. :D
(I also ordered a USB data cable which I now understand is not a lot of use due to the "power saving" feature with no BT connection - pity that didn't come up in the conversation. )
