Hello,
Just a quick one... is there any *real* reason for getting the TomTom BT receiver over the wired? Apart from the obvious... one less wire... I'll be using it in the car only so that's not really an issue for me.
Also, do you have to use the tomtom car kit to use the wired solution? Or is there a connector that plugs directly into the pda? And what then if I wanted to power the pda as well as connect the GPS receiver and... wait for it... not use the tom tom car kit (ie I reckon i'd need a speaker mount as the sound on my hp 4150 leaves a lot to be desired!)
Cheers for your help,

I went for the wired option and I'm happy with it, as you say, you are going to have to connect the PDA to a cable anyway.
Second, no connection lost issues!

On the other side of the coin I have the Blietooth version, now that v3.03 update is available it really is rock solid! |

Yeah that's what I thought.
One other question... if I bought the tomtom wired set up without a tomtom car kit can I use it straight away with the supplied cables, until I choose which pda mount I want? Is it powered from the PDA or is there a power cable and a pda link cable for the wired receiver?
Cheers,
