deleting stock poi's

Is it possible to delete the stock POI's, eg: some of the petrol stations, from TomTom? I want to replace them with individual POI types for Shell, BP, Texaco, etc.
When I select a stock petrol station POI, then select MORE> there seems to be no option to delete it.
If its a third-party add-on POI (imported ov2 file) then I get a Delete option.

There is no way to delete the built in POIs. You can of course not have them displayed, but then you lose everything in that particular category.

Thiw would be fine if you had a set of say BP Petrol stations and you were not interested in any others, but then again you could always display the rest if you got caught short.

I have the Shell petrol stations (Optimax, mmmm :D) displayed as well as the "ordinary" petrol stations. I used the shell_consolidated_nw set from POISync, as it seems the most complete. It's worthwhile having both, as the following three scenarios seem to occur:

1) Shell icon and petrol station icon in the same place
2) Shell icon only
3) Petrol station icon only (at a Shell petrol station)
