When SD Cards turn bad 3

Yeah I have had issues with delayed writes on CF/SD and also my external FireWire Maxtor drives, but in this case I don't believe it's a delayed write as the card was left in the slot for 4-5 mins all in all after the last write, and most of the delayed writes I've received tend to happen if you remove the card up to 2 minutes after the last write.

I have had this happen with a 128MB genuine Sony memory stick, it no longer works in any card reader. Format it in my digital camera and all is well, I can read and write to it from the pc over the usb camera connection fine but put it into a pc cardreader and the fat gets mangled and all the files disappear.
