Hi all,

If I start TomTom Navigator 3.01 when my iPAQ is docked to my laptop in the cradle, absolutely nothing happens, no matter how long I leave it. Then, as soon as I pull the iPAQ out of the cradle, navigator starts loading and everything's fine (like it was 'queued up' for loading).

Has anyone else had this problem? It's not a big deal, but it's sometimes nice to plan routes when I'm at work with my iPAQ docked in its cradle.

All other programs load fine when the iPAQ is docked.

iPAQ 2210 (ROM 1.10)
Navigator 3.01
TomTom BT wireless GPS receiver

Cheers!

Hi there

I get the same problem on my similar setup (but 3.03, so that doesn't fix it!). My simple workaround is to lift the iPaq off its cradle then put it back down again as soon as TomTom starts loading.

I think others have had problems with TomTom not starting when Calendar is running, so our problem may be linked to that, as the iPaq is synching with Outlook whenever docked.

Best wishes

I have a feeling that this is related to the COM port that TomTom wants to monitor. Due to ActivSync holding this TomTom waits for this to come free. A work around is to disconnect Activesync plan you route and then reconnect ActivSync when you are finished.

Excellent, thanks for the replies! Both seem like good workarounds, I'll give them a go.

Cheers!
