Ok
I spend alot of time on the road visiting clients in out of the way rural places, some dont even have road names.
If I travel with my TT running and arrive at a location that I want to remember for next time how do I record the location into TT3.
Is the only way as a POI?
How can I show my current location on map view?
If i could show my current location in map view I could hold my stylus down and add to favourites and add a name of client etc..
Apologies if this is a dumb question.
Thanks |

If you switch to Map View you should see your current location, if you do not, open Properties and tick the box 'keep GPS position on screen' and then you will!
Then you can switch to Map View and hold the cursor on screen to access the option to add that location as a POI. I hope this makes sense, red wine is making my thought process hazy _________________ Darren Griffin |

Your position on the map will be indicated with a triangle symbol (similar to the one in navigator view).
The only favourite worth setting is Home. Favorites can easily be lost with software updates etc, are awkward to back up and are limited to 20. If you save all your locations as POIs, you can easily back them up (they are the.ov2 file in the map folder), have no limit and you can create different categories (family, work, friends, etc.). |

Thanks drummer, I'll give it a go tomorrow when I am on the road.
I have sent you a pm for the TT3 update files.
Thanks |
