I anyone elses winhdshield mount not tightening properly on the vertical axis?

My left hand know fell off - the part it connected too seemed to vanish into the mount. The right knob just needs some serious tightening.

Dissasembly and the insertion of a couple of rubber washers would probably help no end. I keep meaning to try it.
