Cross border navigation

I'm considering buying either a TT3 for Palm (Bluetooth) or a Navman 4460.

Question for the Tomtom v.3?

if purchase a version D, A, CH on a 256SD card, and then with the European countries add-on, will I be able to seamlessly navigate from Switzerland to Belgium, if I have the appropriate regions loaded.

i.e. are the maps connected when driving from country to country?

Navigation from Switzerland to Belgium will be possible with the MRE map. but once you are in Belgium you need to manually switch to the BeNeLux map if you want better details.

Thanks for the info,

Since I travel quite a bit cross border, this would not be a desireable solution for me, so I guess I have just the one option let.

By the way there is no TomTOm 3 for Palm. They have version 4.20

Have a look at Mapopolis - much better map management.

Hi Billy,
Currently I'm stuck on the same issue. I'm evaluating now Navigon's MN|4 and Route 66... they allow you to export various zones and corrifors, regardless of the borders...
