SD Cards

Having used the XDA with TT v2 and a Novatek 256 SD card without to many problems and 12 POI files on the SD card. I upgraded to TT v3, ran ok without problems.

Upgraded the XDA to a XDA II, main differance XDA was PPC 2002 were as the XDA II is PPC2003. This seems to use the SD card much heavier than 2002.

The XDA II then had frequent freeze ups whilst navigating, no specific speed,time or route just ramdom. Looking at the frozen screen it usually showed 7 or 9 satalite fixes so it wasn't a GPS problem. Disabling the POI files in TT stopped the freeze ups.

From this I concluded that the original SD card was causing the problems and decided to replace it for a genuine Panasonic one. Browsing through an Argos Catalogue I found they had them and as I wanted it straight away and an Argos a mile away I purchased one.
It is listed as Panasonic 256 Mb SD Card order No. 570/5324, £79.99 I know I could proberly got it cheaper.

Re installed everything to the new SD card. So far this week with some 1700 miles of driving to a differant destination every day not a single lockup or freeze up.

Just thought this might help a few others who are getting similar problems that changing to a genuine Panasonic SD card may be the cure.
