I am fairly new to this and wondered if there was any program available that not only alerts you to the fact that a speed camera is approaching but what the speed limit is in that area.
I think this would be incredibly useful as I often get warned about an up-coming camera and then am not sure of the speed limit.
Maybe I should look at signs more but any help with this would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you drive through Lincolnshire, please pay more attention to urban speed limits.

Thanks,
Steve

Some speed camera databases have the cameras in speed limit groups. For example, if they are in a 30 ares, the POI group is Speed Cameras 30 and the icon will be a 30 in a red circle, then you know what speed you should be doing.

The Origin b2 tells you what type of camera you are approaching, which way it is pointing, and what the speed limit is (except for variable limits as used on the M25).

or, you could just be generally aware of the speed limit for the section of road that you are driving on, so you only need to be alerted to the prescence not speed of a camera?

While you are there, perhaps keep an eye out for grannies crossing the road.

Checkpoint can be setup with what you are wanting as long as you subscribe to the PIO Handler PIO updates, this is 12 Euros a year (£8). A small fee to get the speed right.

I am currently working on a set of POI for these though. I'll shout when done At present I'm trying to decide whether to add 'children playing in street' too... probably not, your on your own with them.

I suppose grannies are slow enough for a daily POI update Smile
