Hi,

Anyone used this software now it's been available for a couple of months?

What's the level of detail like? And UK country coverage? Is it worth the £129? How many CDs? What's heights are the contour lines at; e.g. every so many metres?

Please can anyone advise; I see a couple of other people have asked this question and there's no public answer.

Cheers,

Chris. Garnett

I've only had about 5 mins worth of looking but I really didn't think much for the price of the product. Topo includes road support, so say Ordance Survey, but half the minor roads didn't appear to be there in built up areas, and the actual topo part of the product just had ridge lines showing the height, and that was it.

I wasn't overly impressed!

I have purchased this, and yes it is very pricey. However I think the software itself is excellant. Detail is very good, has all the trails and main footpaths in my local area. Plus points of interest including camp sites, and viewpoint.
Hope this helps.

I think that the software definately adds to my sportrak color, the ability to see contours is a great bonus and it seems to be generally very accurate. as to the question 'is it worth the money?' well frankly no, but you can't download any other detailed maps onto magellan GPS' other than mapsend. if i could load memory-map software onto my sportrak, the mapsend wouldn't get a look in, but i can't. however, now I have the facillity, I won't be using just the basemap on its own again! If you can afford it buy it, it's definately an improvement.
