i wonder if some1 can help, i have a ipaq 2210 and fortuna clip on with 512mb kingston sd card and tomtom 3.03 software, all brand new only 2 day old.
my q is if i use the xtrac setting, do i have to first change the gps settings on ipaq to sirf , if so which sirf setting do i choose?

any help would be appreciated, also i noticed the tomtom keeps freezing even with 5 sats showing on clip on? i then hav to shut down tomtom nav and restart for it to work again. any ideas

thank you :D

I have the same kit you ( 2210, Clip-on with Tom Tom 3.0 with 3.03 GPS driver)

I never set Sirf anything, anywhere. In TomTom on the GPS driver settings window, choose

NMEA 0183v2 38499
Bluetooth Serial Port COM8:

Set the Clip-on to Xtrac. (slid that silly little pin hole left to right)

Now everything should work just fine.

I never have lockups or dropped satellites and I do mean NEVER with the exception of the odd tunnel.

Hope this help
