With T. P. D. A offering to take back my TomTom Go minus 20% or even more off the value, i have posted it on the net. In process of selling it for £400 because I couldnt be assed with all wriggling T. P. D. A would do to stitch me up and I just want to get mobile quickly, then getting TomTom 3 for palmtop....then I can get postcode search program off net. Otherwise than this 'minor' techniquicality TomTom Go is gr8

here a link that explains how the postcode system works,

http://www.evoxfacilities.co.uk/evoxps.htm

Plus Royal Mails site for postcodes,

https://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder?pageId=pol_login&catId=400145&_requestid=2276&cs=1

You have to register to use Royal Mails Postcode Finder.

TT Go helped me find a very remote address, namely "Tan Hill" the highest pub in England.

As i wasn't sure where or how to get there, i rang them, got their full postcode, and entered it in TT Go. Even with only 5 digits, TT Go got me to the door.

Oh,, Tan Hill is so remote, it even has it's OWN Coal Mine

And that would cost £15.00 per update.

So why if they can do it ,can't these other firms.

Kevin, if you read my previous message I said "PDA's are a very niche market, so don't expect PDA software to sell as much in terms of volume compared to PC applications, or to something that Microsoft may sell."

PC applications sell to a much wider audience and make it more viable than PDA's!
