TT3.03 with Toshiba e330 - lock ups

Have tried to get TT3.03 working reliably with my Toshiba e330 but with little success. Bought the software 1 week ago and have had to re-load the software 6 times due to the pda locking up. Complete re-boot was needed, with the internal battery being switched off, thus losing all the pda information as well.

After some investigation, I believe that because the GPS receiver (normal TT with 3.03 sw) uses com 1 this seems to conflict with the e330 unit. The only way I have been able to get a successful install and operation was by starting up TT before powering the GPS unit.

Tom Tom's e-mail response was non existent, so finally called them, and the person suggested I use the 16+ MB map on the internal memory rather than an SD card (known problem?). This has not helped. So I am going to try the GPS receiver on USB connection rather tham com1.

Does anyone have any experience of these issues with the e330 or other PDA?

I would strongly suggest you remove the TomTom GPS driver 3.03 and re-install the older TomTom GPS 2.07 driver (we have it on our downloads page). Don't forget the soft reset before and after each step.
