Has anyone opened one of these?

I have a duff gps antenna mouse as shown below

I appreciate I’m going to have to destroy (very carefully) the outside case, but does anyone know what I may find?

I have established that it works okay while its first used, but after a short time it stops working, then it needs unplugging for quite a while before replugging to work again. Therefore I have nothing to lose by opening it up to see if there’s anything getting hot etc which could be replaced, or are they resin filled?

you will find a patch antenna a nd a PCB beneath it with very few components. Look for a leaking capacitator ar a brown spot on the PCB where it may be overheating.

Thanks for the info, its going to be about 4 or 5 weeks before I get time to investigate.

I was worried that it may have been filled with resin.
