|
|
Hi Guys,
I have a 2016 KIa Sportage.
The Satnav I believe as mentioned in the manual is Tom Tom based.
It can take custom POI's,, but only gpx or kml.
Which data base could I use?
I also believe it's a Win CE system?
Thanks |

'TomTom' will likely be the mapping rather than the navigation itself.
We have both GPX and KML available. Look for 'Garmin - Other' and you can find GPX there.

Hi MaFt,
I had a look and under Garmin there is no "other" in the Garmin or GPX or KML listed, only CSV?
Unless I'm being a bit thick and can't see it?
Cheers

Thanks guys,
Manged to find the download and the head unit took in some of the POI's.
It seems the Sportage can only have 5000 entries and the database is currently 9,450 without pmobile.
So back to the drawing board.
Any ideas, or should I just give up?
Is there a way of just selecting say South of England or Birmingham down?
Cheers

The other thing to check, as many have found, is - can you set these POI's as cameras, that require an advance warning, or just POI's you can only navigate to. _________________ DashCam:

You'd need to order the POIs in the file by Latitude and then remove anything higher than, say 52.48
