Hi, I have an Ipaq 2210 and an Arkon powered mount, which I am very pleased with, For the 1st couple of months I had no problems at all with this set up. But just over the past few weeks, my Ipaq backlight goes out after 5 mins, and this continually happens throughout my journey. As you can understand this is not only frustrating but also dangerous when I have to keep touching the screen to get the light back on. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to remedy it???

thanks in advance

What software? if it's TomTom check the GPS Applet, there is a slider on the GPS Tab with a Zzz and a PDA Icon, slide towards the PDA icon to ensure the PDA does not power save when GPS is active.

Is it definitely receiving power when in the Arkon mount? Check if the same issue occurs when on mains power.

The Pda, is definately charging in the mount, do you mean try it in the Pda cradle and see if the light stays on?

Thanks Alix, that appears to have done the trick on the cradle, so I guess that is the problem solved. And thanks Darren for your help
