Hi there Bob

Thanks for the files :-) I think they will now solve the problems I and other seem to be having.

I was going to ask if you could do this but I thought it would be imposing on you so did not bother too.

Thanks for all the help you have given us :-)

Here's hoping!

Hey Bob what can I say?

I downloaded the files as instucted and all is perfect now, I love the sound of the alarm going off, I have cameras in Portsmouth and even though I know they are there I sometimes forget, this will help me no end to keep me on my toes!

One question, how often do they update the files for the cameras database and is it now available online to download or are you the only one to have sorted this out?

Once again thanks for the help :-)

Cheers

These files also work on Mio 168 with MioMap Software. You can convert the files from CSV to DAT using the Favorites Importer on the Console. The spreadsheet format is easy to change from the one on the CSV files you download from the speedcamera database on this website, as bob said earlier in the thread. I am planning on making a website with the files updated for MioMap and the WAV and BMP files, so watch this space.

Thanks bob as you have helped me realise what i needed to know.

Hi all.

I'm sorry but I must be doing something wrong Sad

When I try to follow your instructions ie Copy speed camra file to Medion\Medion-navigation\common\favourites I dont seem to get the "favourites" bit on my device. Also I cant find the bit were you tick the box in favourites or the edit bits Question

I click on Medion and go to Medion Navigator click on that and go to Common click on that and get Interface with the speed camera "logo/file" next to it.

I am now stumped Sad

Please could some one tell me what I am doing wrong.

Many thanks for putting up with a complete numpty with computers Embarassed

Ive converted the new 3.024 camera database for the medion 150

http://www.active-soccer.co.uk/3.024%20cameras.zip

The specs camera database is also available here as auto alert 2.
I will update the navigation.exe file later to display a beter message but at least the auto alerts message will warn you for now.

Is it a reasonable assumption that all of the instructions will also work with the 175 or have I completely lost it :D

By the way Bemused I have a MDPNA175 and it all works for me.

Mind you the newer database seemed to have missed some of the cameras we have here in Portsmouth so I have reverted to the older .dat file.

Bob any ideas why this maybe?

tel33, thanks for the response, but I am still struggling with all this, it seems like it should be very simple, got the taskbar working with no problems, but.
The instructions say that "the NAVIGATOR.exe replaces the navigator.exe in the Medion\Medion-Navigator", only problem is I dont have navigator.exe nor do i have some of the other files it says to replace, plus my directory structure appears to be slightly different. did you have the same problems?

You dont have Navigator.exe in your Medion folder, strange?

What version of it are you running? I am on version 3.1.75_69.21CE and I dont have any problems with a different directory structure.

The Naviagtor.exe should be in the Medion Folder under Medion-Navigator if its not then it should not be running at all!!!

Are you looking at it via Explore in Activesync and not on the main screen explorer?

tel33, thanks for the prompt response.
I am running Medion Navigator 4.4 on a Medion MDPNA175 (Halfords special) under windows CE.net 4.2
In the Medion Directory I have mnavdce.exe & setting.exe as the only .exe files in the directory. under medion/navigator there is only a directory called common, no other files (Yes I have checked for the hidden/system ones as well). Its looking as if my set up is completely different.

Oh dear...You have the later version of what I have.

Sadly I have no idea how to get it working on this one but I hope Bob is reading this he probaly can help you.

Still at least you have the later version which might be a bit better than my one or at least updated, did you by chance you have the European maps with it?

I guess I could update mine to that version but without the camera working its will be a bit pointless.

have a look at:

http://www.navigating.de/Home_en/neues.htm#news290904

I am sure that have a program for version 4 of Medion Naviagtor although I think you have to pay a subcristion fee, if you get it I would be interested in how you fare with it.

Regards
