Ipaq and Holux GR230 lose bluetooth connection

Does anyone else experience loss of connection between their Holux GR230 and Ipaq3970 running TTN3.03 (build 427)?

Ever since I’ve had the Holux I’ve experienced problems with the GPS interface being lost; the only way I seem to be able to re-establish the connection is to try either restarting TTN3 or turning the bluetooth radio off and back on; neither of which give consistent results and I’m often left repeating the same attempts until the connection is re-established.

In the GPS screen on TTN3, it shows that there is nothing being received from the Holux, yet the bluetooth manager reports that a connection is still made, and the Holux’s blue light is flashing slowly to confirm this.

The only logic I’ve been able to apply is that if satellite lock is lost by the Holux for any length of time, TTN3 appears to then ‘time-out’ much like a printer and pc does.

Any ideas how to correct this would be very appreciated.

Ps My Ipaq has pocket pc 2002 and the Holux was bought about 18 months ago
