On a recent trip from Hampshire to Yorkshire I encountered two problems with my Navman.

Firstly I could not get a fix on any satelites for over an hour, until I got stopped in traffic and then opened the window and instanly got a good fix, whereupon it worked fine for the rest of the journey.

Secondly, the route up the M1 directed me off the motorway at Milton Keynes, down to the roundabout and directly back on to the motorway. It did this on the return journey as well. Is it a built in joke on the mapping to get you into Milton Keynes and then changing its mind just to fool you (ha ha Navman!) or have any of you found this off motorway and straight back on flaw in the software?

I can identify with the first problem but not the second. A few times I have been unable to get a fix on a satellite for no known reason. Same conditions and area that normally cause no problem at all. Trouble is, because it's not a constant problem, it seems pointless trying to speak with Navman support about it.

Yep me too... atmospheric conditions and all that probably play a part. I have found that pulling in to a layby or similar for a few mins can help it get a fix.

Its normally atmospheric causing loss of signal, have encountered that in Darlby Forestoverhanging trees and heavy mist.

Ironically I travel from York to Farnborough, and back Haven't found that problem.
