Hi,
I thought I had got TTN3 working OK, although only playing around in the house, I then switched back to Memory-Map 2004 which I had installed first, and that was still fine, showing good satellite lock and displaying current position.
However when I closed that and started TTN3 again I get this GPS Disabled message.
On the GPS Status screen the setup is still the same, NMEA 4800 and serial cable on SP2, but there is no tick in the box on the left of the selections, and I can't eneter a tick ????
So it seems I can't confirm the settings
Any ideas what has gone wrong?
Hope someone can advise

Hi,
It's now got worse. If I try to start TTN3 it just locks up the PDA and I have to do a reset. I tried removing the program and reinsralling from the cab files, but still the same, locks up when I try to run it.
Where do I go from here?
MM OS 2004 is still working OK

I think the gps can only talk to one program at a time. Try exiting from memorymap and see if tt3 works then. |

make sure you exit mm from the menu and not just close it from the x in the top right corner otherwise it will still be running in the background
check by going to system/ memory/running programs
try turning the gps of by the icon at the bottom right of your screen see if that helps |

Thanks Mav and Markbatey,
I hadn't appreciated that apparently "closing" MM-OS only hides it.
I still needed to re-install TTN3 twice (I think cos' I have lost track!!) more from the Cab files, but I have finally got it working fine, went out for some trials around my area, and it is a great navigator.
Only one problem still remaining which I feel sure I have seen in this forum is that if I close TTN3 I can't start it again without a reset. Not a great problem but irritating. Is there a solution?
MM-OS works fine and always starts when asked, but I do know make sure that I have shut it down completely.

As mav said above, on your PDA - Start - Settings - System - Memory Icon - Running Programs, if it's not shown, then it has closed, if it is shown then just tap it once, then tap Stop. |
