If you can join the two cables using the DB9 connectors, it should work.
I have a classic Road Angel, so I only use cables which have a DB9 serial connector. |

It was replied a few posts up:
I understand Blackspot now has a serial lead (PS2 to DB9?) for PC.
I have not seen it on their site though.
If they have (around 10GBP I think) you can get that and our GPS interface PX3GS/P, connect them and you are in business. _________________ Pc-Mobile

ok, i've got pretty much the same situation as the original poster (only my PDA is a Axim X3i)
Having sent an email to PC-Mobile they have told me that i need the PX3GS/P cable along with the 'Car USB adapter / charging cable set for most PDAs'
the only problem is that the charging cable only charges the PDA. I need to charge the Road Angel also, is there anyway this can be done?
Also, i've got TOMTOM3 running on my PDA but are there any specific properties i need to change in order for the PDA and road angel to communicate?
Thanks |

How do you "normally" power the Blue Angel?
And that is what you have to do. _________________ Pc-Mobile

i normally power the road angel through the cigerette lighter socket as well (i've never used the PDA in my car yet)
the problem is that i have two devices needing a lighter socket and only one lighter socket in my car |

You can get socket doublers from many car accessory stores.

BigAC
Have you read the Holux cable review here?
You'll find that you'll only need one cig lighter socket. |

Yep, seen the review. Unfortunately that cable doesn't work with the Dell Axim's though(i sent an email to Holux) they said the axims use different voltages and that they will have a cable 'at some point in the future'
I'm quite happy to use the cables from PC Mobile and the serial adapter from Blackspot but i can't afford to buy all those cables and then it not work, and at the moment, there doesn't seem to be anyone who can tell me 100% that the setup will work. |

We do not know what the Blackspot serial cable is like but in theory it should work. _________________ Pc-Mobile
