TomTom 3 Data logging?

There is an option on TomTom 3 to log GPS positioning data. Does anyone know what one can do with this data? Is it in a format that can be imported into a mapping package?

The data is in NMEA format and comma delimited. There are several conversion packages on this site in the downloads area and Memory Map Professional can import it directly.

As MrT says, it's just the raw input from the GPS (NMEA 0183 or SiRF binary if you're using a SiRF setting) with a few lines of header on the front.

Many programs will import it directly - if not, try making a copy and removing the header lines.


Be aware that these TomTom log files get quite big; there's other ways to log that may produce smaller files (such as, if I remember rightly, the logging options in GpsGate).
