Apologies if this is the wrong forum. i want to transfer all my map data from an sd card to a cf card, i have a multi card reader with both cards in but windows gives me an error "unsupported Data" do i have to use activesync to transfer? and can i leave both cards in the pda to do this or the sd card in the pda and the cf card in card reader. or is there a better way. any help appreciated.

Hi Steve,
Try the following:
1. Copy the SD card to a new folder on your PC (using MS Windows Explorer)
2. “Unplug” the card reader and remove the SD card
3. Place the CF card in the card reader and copy the contents of the PC folder to the CF card.
The above method works for me. I’ve never tried to use two different cards in the one card reader at the same time, so I don’t know if it would work.

Checking most SD cards, they tend to come formatted with Fat 32, although some will still be Fat 16. Personally I'd go with Fat 32. |
