cf card

i want a cf card but how big 256 for 16 quid or 1gig for 45 quid i only really want to put tomtom gb map on it i gather the 256 would be the choice as it would probably be faster any help appreciated. also i am after a pro clip would my tomtom wired car kit (pda mount) screw onto the proclip as i gather you need the pda holder to go with it.

If you only want to put the TomTom GB map on the card, 256MB is ample. I tend to buy large storage cards as I stuff them full of all sorts of data - ebooks, music files, satellite navigation maps and Sprite Backup files.

A ProClip just has a flat surface that you can mount things on - the idea is that you drill your ProClip, not your dashboard. Have you got the appropriate parts with your car kit to mount to a flat surface?

thanks for the reply dave,i have ordered a kingston 512 cf card my main reason is that tomtom crashes now and again when calculating a route with my 512 sd card i dont know if it is the card but i shall transfer the maps onto the cf card and see how it goes. the pro clip i have looked at is for my renault clio which i think is made to fit this car,what i have read is that it sticks to the side of the dashboard and you then use a pda mount to fix to the clip.what i am wondering is if i take my tomtom window mount apart would it screw onto the proclip.
