Since getting 303 in July have used successfully with TTN in my partner car. Last Saturday went to Anquet demo in Manchester and was so impressed bought 1:50,000 maps for N & Central UK.

After contacting Anquet (who were very helpful) eventually could get connection via com7 but got a steady LED on the GPS with NO position fix (using Anquet with TTN wired GPS works perfect). Tried with TTN3 (using CF Generic as before) and similarly got steady LED with no fix. My conclusion something fouled up with Haicom.

Can anyone give advice on what to do. Have looked thro forum and browsed the article "tweaking & testing GPS" but thought would seek comments before proceeding further.

Thanks in anticipation of help

Terry

It's possible that something has reconfigured the HI-303S away from the defaults - and it's no longer communicating in the protocol at the port speed you thought it was.

You could try the 'tweaking and testing' instructions to see if you can 'find' the GPS by trying both protocols at a range of serial port speeds. As an alternative, just put it to one side with no power for a week - which should be enough for the supercap to go flat and for it to reset to factory defaults. My HI-303MMF lasts about 3-4 days before going flat.
