I have just had a nightmare installing V3. Inbetween it rebooting my PC whilst uploading the maps. Then XP telling me its recovered from a serious error due to a device driver !

Then the blue USB connect screen when I switch the on !

Also Smart ST desktop keeps telling me there is an update over and over again ! Arrrghh

So what version should I be on now...

Can anybody tell me if this sounds about right ?

Paul,

That looks about right. I also had a nightmare installing V3.0. Problem was due to either a) PC USB hardware or b) Other software installed.

Question:

Are you able to boot your iCN and load V3.0 or do you only get the USB connect screen on the iCN?

That is what I experienced and fixed it by re-installing the desktop software on a different PC and going through the installation process on the iCN again.

I initially got the blue usb screen on switch on but after doing another install on the same PC the icn boots ok.

The only other USB device I have plugged in is my MS intellimouse optical. I wonder if this is the cause. I will have to try with my ps2 mouse.

I also sometimes use the USB cyborg evo joystick and USB Digi camera.

Will have to dust off my Emergency PC !!

Can't go back to maps anymore !!
