|

Hi
I've been reading the forums and there seems to be a lot of chat - both good and bad about Tomtom Navigator 3. I like the fact that you can import POI, and postcodes have now been added.
I've also been looking at Socket MyNavigator as an alternative. I'm not so sure if Postcodes or POI are available on their software.
I'll be getting this for an iPAQ using bluetooth
Has anyone got any comments on either of these options for a newbee please. I'll be using the system in the UK mainly, but would like to be able to travel to europe using the Nav system on holidays.
Thanks |

Have you read our reviews of both?
Personally I think TT Navigator is ahead of Socket MyNavigator which has no support for custom POIs or PostCodes. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I've read the reveiws and thought that was the case - just a little nervous about making assumtions. Thanks for the confirmation re POI and postcodes.
I've just been reading about the CoPilot 5 Live too. That looks like a very good rival to Tomtom from the reviews. Though a little more expensive.
If I purchase a bundle with a bluetooth receiver, and at a later stage want to go for a different software package, is the reciever likely to work with any of the bluetooth enabled packages? |

Yes, all receivers are cross compatible so you need only purchase the software in future.
I think you'll find TomTom Navigator 3 will provide all you need _________________ Darren Griffin |
