Hi all, having just travelled the A17 in Norfolk I am somewhat confused by the spec cameras.. The sections of road they are covering changes from single carriageway with a 60 mph national limit to short dual carriageway sections with a 70mph national speed limit. These changes of road type are between cameras. Presumably they are set with a high tolerance rate to allow for the changes in speed limit.

Sounds like a reasonable presumption to me. They know the minimum time it should take you to travel between the cams, and if you do it in less than that, you must have been speeding somewhere along the route.

That's the thing.

No matter how many times the limit changes there is a minimum time you can legally do it.
