hi forum...
is it possible to set 'no destination' , so that you can drive about with speed camera warnings etc, but with nobody telling you you're going the wrong way?

thanks.

Jon, I'm no expert but have you tried touching screen and touching clear route? Mine just lets me drive unless I tell it a destination, or haven't reached previous one.

If you are using CheckPOInt or POI-Warner, you can disable the sound in TomTom and then carry on. CheckpOINT or POI-Warner will continue to work warning you of the Speed Cameras or other POI's.

When you are ready to get directions again, then enable the sound.

To do this all you have to do is to touch the screen in "Navigator" view.

Go to Navigator view, click on Turn off Guidance, and it does exactly what you are asking for

The other way of doing it is this.

If a route has been set from a previous journey from Navigator you need to tap the screen at the top where the tab can just be seen. That will give you a drop down box, from that select ............Instructions.......... Then at the bottom of the screen you will see .......tools........tap that which will produce a menu, select...........Clear route........... and that will do exactly that.
If you then go back to Navigator you will have TT working showing you where you are going without slecting a destination.

To get the speed camera warnings just activate Checkpoint prior to doing all this and then you will have verbal warnings <presuming of course that you have the warnings set up> without any guidance at all.
