Here's a Kingmax one at 10MB/s on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=74696&item=3840125896
Not sure you will benefit from the extra speed though with your 3870.
Don't worry about the one you have got, London to Manchester is all motorway, so it will only take a short time to calculate if you go off route. You only need to worry if you want to load the French maps, it takes a really long tome navigating acrosss France!!

HI Jammer,
I don't think TT gave you rubbish info. I experienced huge problems last year, as one of the very first purchaser of TTBT+IPAQ 1940 in Italy .
Nobody told me anything about Sd card minimum requirements, and I purchased a Sandisk SD Card 256MB (made in China...).
TT2 (that was the version available in that period) crashed when accessing the DB (lookup of city address) . The reseller changed the SD card twice.
I called TT in the Netherlands, which gave me prompt support stating that the problem was due to low SD data transfer speed, especially with those produced in China.
After posting my problems in this forum, I found out the solution: move to another brand having better performance. According to my experience, I can suggest to you the following:
1) Lexar (both standard version and 32x work fine). I have both versions, 256 MB (made in JP)
2) Panasonic SD card (a friend of mine bought the 256mb, and it works fine, made in JP).
Ciao
Jerry

If you search the forums you will see the two ingredients that lead to problems with SD memory is 'Sandisk' and 'China'
SD memory that is neither of the above is generally OK. | Cheers
The 256Mb one will do me just now. It is fast (as you can see from test times above) and is "Made in Japan". _________________ Rgds,

Make sure to check out the postal charge before bidding on ebay. That SD card has a postal levy of £9 - postal insurance is not optional!

Still works out cheap for that sort of speed and price.
I checked out LE to J O'G on my setup from enter to the map loaded, 59 secs for the Lexar 32x SD and 1min 29s for a Sandisk UltraII CF (made in China...!! )

Have you loaded the patch for the Ipaq there is a patch for SD cards and it speeds up the SD system a hell of a lot.

The SD driver updates are for specific iPAQ's (39xx 22xx)
You will need to check the HP Support Pages for your specific PDA _________________ Ian.
