Yep - that's how it works now. Blame Apple.

My iPad 4 is not affected, works fine. _________________ Dennis

I'm having the same problem with my iPad mini. I've tried deleting the app and downloading/installing, downloading database but it crashes immediately afterwards. _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

If you put it in 'list view' (settings / show map: never) then this seems to resolve it for some users.

That works for me. One other thing worth mentioning is that the Setup icon is not responsive. I need to tap it several times before it brings up the Setup menu. The adjacent Music icon and the others on the bottom tool bar work fine. _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

App works even less on iOS 7.1 beta 1. It opens to the splash screen for a fraction of a second, then crashes out.

|
|
Just tried to update the DB but it closes after the download and I get the out of date DB warning when I reopen, it has worked in the past as the DB was version 11.105. I've deleted the app, reloaded etc but it is still not updating and the version I have now is 7.101 |

It was broken with the release of iOS 7, only affects the iPad 3.
My post was simply a heads up that the issue is not resolved with iOS 7.1 beta 1.
I obviously know it's a beta, therefore buggy.
Is there an update in the pipeline for us iPad 3 owners? _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

|
|
Hi,
I have been having the same issues with the program updating and crashing immediately and then forgetting the update when re-opening. I did a restore from my iPad 2 to the iPad Mini Retina so it "inherited" the original CamerAlert which was one of the issues. Even an initial delete and reinstall (twice) did not cure the issue.
I got it working after a few attempts of deleting and reinstalling . . .
I deleted the program
I went to AppStore and installed new
I linked the program to my user id
I closed the program
I opened the program and got an iOS 7 pop-up and the "out of date" voice warning
I updated the database and it didn't crash!
This did take three attempts before it worked, though.
Jeff
I closed and reopened the program and all was well. |

I raised a ticket on the help desk and they advised to first try selecting the list option instead of map and try downloading but the thing that worked for me was to change the settings to "Show Map - Never" download the new database and then restore the settings. Worked a treat. |

After yesterday's CamerAlert update on my iPad 3, this morning's update went perfectly with no crash.
Thank you very much chaps. |
