Hi, I'm the pest that stalked the forums to get the camera files into my TT 910
After finally getting the penny to drop, with great help from Dennis we did find out that the 910 wasn't a fully loaded unit.....I had entrusted it for a so called on line expert who was going to return it to factory standard....ooh dear.
So recently I decided to treat myself to a TomTom VIA 135......
I see there is a collection of camera files for download within PGSW programme
I would think the installation would be the same, but before I attempt to do this I have questions......the TTVia comes with cameras already loaded albeit only chirps and whistles......can the PGSW files be implemented over the TTVia files?.....do the TTVia units have a voice warning or is the voice part included within the PGSW files...I would love to have the complete set up within the
TTVia ....cameras with voice and speed warnings.
Is this possible please,?.....do PGSW have any installers that could do all this anywhere, for a fee of course....I live in Leeds ....JOE _________________ confused old man
If, when you try those instructions, you find you can't select all of the camera files in one go (this sometimes happens to people who use Internet Explore as their web-browser) then use these instructions instead:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-tomtom-nav3-zip.php
If you opt for the voice files as well when you do the download, then they will get installed at the same time.
As before, once you've installed all the files, you do need to go through all the "Warn when near POI" set-up for each and every camera type. Do expect this to take 10-15 minutes of screen tapping! (But what you need to do should all be in the instructions).
Finally, once everything is installed, it's up to you whether you switch off the built-in TomTom alerts or not. (You do that in the "Live Services" menu)
Obviously if you leave them switched on, you've get two sets of alerts for any camera that's in the TT data as well as the PGPSW database. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-)
