Hi,

Driving north on the A23, just before reaching the M23 there is a long road works with 3 average speed cameras. Cameralert correctly gave warning yesterday (16th march) but said "all clear" at the 2nd camera. The 3rd camera was ignored. However the large 40 sign and the male "40" voice continued until I arrived at New Malden via the M25. The femal voice continued to identify gatsos at various speeds but the 40 warnings continued.

Returning to Brighton this evening Cameralert missed the first average speed camera although a little further on it warned of a non-existent (as far as I can tell) fixed camera and then a little further on warned of the average section at the 2nd camera. it functioned normaly after leaving the average section.

It seems to me that the database does not know of the northermost camera on each side which has been in place for several months.

Database 11.032 (34975) downloaded 15th March.
Cameralert v1.3.10.76
Android 2.2.1
HTC Wildfire.

Regards, Frank.

Hi Watchmaker, To the right of your post is a Big Yellow Pointy finger, if you click on that and then zoom into the A23/M23 area you will be able to see what is in the database. From what you are saying, it looks like there may be a camera or two missing. Adding them would get you a reward once verified.

Also, I'm not sure how you managed to have both male and female voices from CamerAlert? It's simply not possible. What other app did you have running that was giving other warnings?

MaFt, there is an end cam southbound that isn't an end cam and further south there is an end cam that is marked as a middle cam.

Bloomin' northerners! Rolling Eyes

I don't know which camera it is, but the A23 joins the M23 around 51.0848, -0.1991, just south of Crawley, West Sussex.

I find Google fairly handy in instances such as this Smile

Where is West Sussex Anita?

I was thinking about on a map.

I can't answer your question until it's daylight and I can see where the sea is. Confused

This should now be resolved (if you're heading that way again!)
