Think I have found the best GPS site on the Net!!!
I have an IPAQ 4150 with TTN bluetooth and looking to install Speed camera database, have downloaded to my laptop, how do I install on my IPAQ and to where?? I am no expert but as somebody who drives 130,000 miles a year think I am doing well with only 3 points (Last week)
Desperately want to update to my IPAQ !!!!

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.........

Thanks in advance.

In essence, you download the latest 'Safety Camera' database. Inside you will find a number of files. For TomTom you need the .ov2 and .bmp files for each database type.

Assuming you do not need the Continental cameras then extract the 'PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.ov2' and 'PocketGPS_UK_REDLIGHT.ov2' files and their accompanying .bmp files (The Icon Bitmaps) and copy these to the Map Folder on your PocketPC (The name of this folder will change depending on which map you have installed).

Once you have done this then soft reset, launch TomTom and in the POI Properties section tick the boxes next to the PocketGPS_UK_GATSO and PocketGPS_UK_REDLIGHT entries to display them on the map.

This will not give you any alerts though, to do this you need a 3rd party POI Warning Utility, the simplest is CheckPOInt which is free, see here for instructions on installing it and a link to the download.
