I'm using Wireless Tether to connect to my SGS2. The Asteroid shows an active network connection, the pre-installed Map app loads and displays map data, the Liveradio streams internet radio properly and I can see the amount of traffic being sent and received on my phone.

I already use CamerAlert on the phone which connects and updates with no problem.

Have you managed to solve this yet. I have the cameras working on my Asteroid and could help. Only problem: I get no voice telling me the cameras i come too. However when i use it on my Android phone it works with voice ok. Does anyone else have a problem with the voices on the Asteroid.

You have read the part in the instructions where you unpack the Asteroid sounds to the SD card?

Any idea roughly when these instructions might be uploaded. Was going to London on Tuesday and was hoping for my asteroid to be voice warning operational.....

In the interim, the sound files download is here:

http://www.cameralert.com/files/AsteroidSDsounds.zip

And the instructions:

Quote:
Unpack the sound files in the attached ZIP to the

/Android/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files/

Folder on the external storage (i.e. The SD card). If that folder doesn't exist yet you need to create it.

Just checking that i only need the Asteroid SD Sounds folder and can delete the MAC/OS folder for the Asteroid. Also when it is done it should look like this

/Android/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files/Asteroid SD Sounds/Then the speed cams

OR

/Android/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files/Then the speed cams

It should be the latter, unpack the contents of the .zip file to the /Android/data/com.pocketgpsworld.cameralert/files/ folder.

What's the MAC/OS bit?

Just updated my Asteroid to Beta 1.6. Because of this it has deleted my Speedcams. I have downloaded the same link emailed to me for it by PGPS. Problem is when i put it on the SD card and then go to installer it does not find it. Has this link been changed in anyway or has anyone else had this problem. Crying or Very sad

What link are you referring to? Speedcams are downloaded and updated from within the app itself.
