I seem to have lost my speed camera voices. The cameras show on the screen but no voice. Voice for directions (Jane) works fine.
For every camera in the cameras file there is .bmp, .ogg, .Ov2, .bmp.
Can anyone help?
I tried searching but can't find anything.

Hi

Have you set the unit to warn when approaching a POI, you have to go into the menu and manage POI's then find the icon for warn when near, you then have to browse to the correct POI and choose which sound you want.

You may have set them before, but ive had my TT1 crash and all warnings and home location got reset to defaults.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that.
BTW I can't get on with 7 either.

That seems to be ok. Where should the sound files be?

WHAT seems to be OK? The sound files should be where you've got them - you said every camera has .bmp, .ogg, .ov2 and X2.bmp. The ogg file is the voice.

When you manage POIs, Warn when near POPI, choose the first camera, set the distance. At some point it asks "Is this the sound you want?" and you answer YES - BUT there is no sound to listen to! Do that with all cameras. You do NOT choose the sound you want, the voice warning is picked up by matching the .ogg filename to the ,ov2 filename.

This happens to me after major map updates. I have discovered that everything previously loaded up to Red Traffic Lights work but the rest do not. It seems as if the .ogg files get corrupted. I find that removing the old version of the .ogg files and reinstalling from my backup, then redoing the warning tick does the trick.

This has happened for the past two years on my 930 and I have just got used to it

If you have a look at your files, I think you'll find an odd one that is relatively new - VARIABLE? And doesn't have an ogg file. Or a pMobile file of that nature. Or maybe Specs 20. All it needs is to get a download of the ogg file for that particular camera. Sorry this is not too clear, I can't for the life of me remember what camera type caused the problem. Just look at them all and make sure you've got an ogg for every one.
