I assume the spoken navigation is heard through the iPhone loudspeaker. What happens if you are also running the music player and feeding it via the headphone socket to the aux i/p of the car radio. Do the navigation instructions interrupt the music, mix in with it or what? One last question, in the above scenario what happens when there is an incoming phone call? _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

tomtom iphone app, from memory, will duck the music to give the spoken warnings then fade it back up once alert has been given.
phone call will put the app in the background which you can then bring back to the foreground or wait until the call ends and it will come back by itself. i can't remember off-hand if you still get spoken alerts while on the phone though.

You have the option to either dip the music fully when the app needs to issue directions/ alerts or fade the music to a lessor volume while it talks to you before it resumes full music volume, the level at which it fades is adjustable within the app.
As for a phone call this over-rides the music and nav instructions, the app does issue a beep inlue of a spoken nav instruction while you are using the phone for a call - Mike |

Thanks very much, I thought it would probably have been thought out pretty much the way you describe. _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |
