Has anyone actually noticed any improvement to HD Traffic since this announcement, I have not noticed anything different?

Very difficult to say Confused I think it has been getting more accurate recently, not necessarily because of that email - that was only a reminder to those who had not updated to the latest application, to do so, so that they could get the improvements to HD traffic. Those with the latest application were already getting any improvements being made/already been made.
How do you measure such things Question

The only thing I've noticed lately is that I have not had a reboot on start-up. This used to happen every 2/3 days, but easily a week without one now.

The more I use it the better I think it is.

Timings were spot on driving back from Warwick on a Friday afternoon. I diverted several times to avoid usual Friday guff on the M6 and I arrived exactly when it said I would.

If I think back to the original TT Traffic when it came out, we are talking light years ahead.

I did Southport to Cheltenham yesterday morning and arrived withing 10 minutes of the time originally predicted by HD Traffic

I returned a couple of hours later leaving Cheltenham at 1.30 and thanks to Friday traffic + pre holiday weekend traffic I arriving home at 5.45, over an hour later than first predicted by HD Traffic and 2 hours longer than the journey down Shocked

So the e-mail from TT I quoted was only intened for users not running the latest app? My 940 has been running 9.058 since about a week after it became available - is there a more recent release?

No, that is up to date. Wink afaik

And this exchange shows the pathetic-ness of the TomTom system.

1. TT have no way to tell if you have instsalled the llatest version via Home (although with "MyTomTom" the have now!), so there is no way they could send an email to only those people who haven't got the latest version.

2.1. v9,058 IS/WAS the latest official version for the Go940, but if you look on their website now there is absolutely no mention of it at all. It's as if it has been "vanished" Soviet Union style.

3. Quite a few people have been using the unreleased 9.120 on the x40 models, but I've only seen a version named for the 750 (http://www.tomtomforums.com/redirect-to/?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.tomtom.com%2Fsweet%2Fnavcore%2F9.120.522640.GO750.CAB-navcore-GO750.cab) so the 940-specific features such as EPT may not still work on that version.

If you got the invalid SIM error on 9.026 you will also get it with the 9.120 version in the post above this.

Not impressed by HD Traffic today Twisted Evil

No mention of the fact that the slip road from the A814 to the Clyde tunnel was closed - result was a fairly lengthy diversion (signposted!) to approach from Crow Road.

The sign advising of the closure implied it had been shut since 24 May....

It tried to send me via the tunnel on Friday but I ignored it because I had Radio Clyde on. Once it worked out I wasn't going that way it pulled an absolute blinder and got me to my destination in 30 mins, which is unheard of at 1700hrs. I reckon it's not getting notified of some stuff.
