Entry level system

Hi All,

Ive just bought a new car and have decided to once again go down the GPS route (I used to have a palm based unit)

Ive got up to £350 to spend and have seen that there are many units out there which will fit my budget - at the moment the dell offer is looking good

However Ive seen the TMC stuff and very much like the look of it

What is the cheapest way to get this working, or is it worth it yet?

If I bought the dell would it be likely I could upgrade it when TMC is more widely used - by changing the reciever?

If TMC is not looking to viable for my budget what would you suggest is the best normal device combo? Ideally Im after an all in one unit or holser/sleve

any help you can give would be good

Hi,

I can't help you on the TMC side but I have recently bought a Dell AXIM X30 624mhz and decided this time I would get a bluetooth GPS setup.

I purchased Fortuna Clip On with PrymeNav software from Global Positioning Systems. I am really impressed with the Fortuna Clip on and the PrymeNav software is ok and for the price you can't complain.
