I found a useful free tool at www.pcfreetime.com FormatFactory 2.50 very useful to batch process the .bmp files to .png - also I converted all my ogg files to mp3 to make sure I had the right files - quite handy software, just thought it might be useful.... |

Looks like a nice converter.
but I'm intrigued as to why you needed it.
Are there any advantages in using png rather then bmp for your icons?
And if you've got any programs that can create .ogg audio files, couldn't you just set Windows to automatically use that prog to preview and listen to them as well? |

There is no need to convert files in this way, ogg Vorbis sounds are fine for the TomTom and iPhone app. The same applies to the icon files, no need to convert them to png all you need to do is re-name the bmp files to png - This is NOT the same as converting the file format.
Tim, how about some answers to the question I posted in reply to one of your other threads about getting the PGPSW database working on the iPhone - Mike |

Perhaps he doesn't use TomTom and that may be why he needs to change file formats?
Or maybe he had some other files from another site that he wanted to convert for another device?
