I have upgraded from a Garmin i3 to a Nuvi 265WT and like it except that (unlike the excellent i3) it doesn't show the locations of the very useful ("Speed Zoned Complete" etc) camera icons - all I get is (annoying & difficult to read) large warning banners towards the top left of the screen.

This occurs despite turning off "Garmin Safety Cameras" in Tools: Settings: Proximity Points: Proximity Alerts (but I have left "Custom POIs" turned on).

Garmin say that this is a PGPSW problem - can anybody help please?

Do you get grey dots instead?

How many POI categories (CSV files) have you loaded? If more than 250 try just loading the Speed Camera Database on it's own. Garmins have a problem if you load more than 250 or so CSV files which results in BMP icons failing to display...

BTW it's not. PGPSW supply the data and icons in the format specific by Garmin. Garmin write the software that should display those icons and use the data to create the alerts. Besides you are the only person complaining at the moment - not a dig at you but just to point out it's not wide spread amongst Garmin owners.

No grey dots (that I can see if that ruddy banner isn't in the way)!

I download about once a month whatever is in UK Speed Zoned Complete (so surely I am well under the 250 limit, as I don't use any other POIs).

No offence taken re your other comments - (I think the Garmin girl was having a bad day)!
