In the interests of the environment, has anyone got a platform firmware upgrade SD card I could use? I'm happy to pay a contribution to your costs, and I'll happily forward to someone else afterwards, or just return it if that's what you want.
I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes with this post, it just seems like a waste to keep manufacturing and selling the firmware upgrade cards when they'll only be used the once.
Edit - OK, there seem to be 3 different upgrades and my unit is secondhand, so I can't be certain about what was actually bought. It hasn't got a LiPol battery, so I doubt that it's a Plus, but it has a worldwide map, just not with any detail in the Americas below 1:10M. The Platform version is 08.11.3 - any idea which upgrade card I even need? |

Welcome.
You shouldn't need a card.
Double check your current version is 1.16 or above (settings/about). If it is, then just download from the website.
Windows version unless you have a mac. The SatSync download includes the latest update for the device and is the easiest startpoint. Download, install, open SatSync, connect device and follow on screen instructons.
Good luck |

I've already done that, thanks. It's running at version 1.450, but there are several features missing that I think come with the platform update, in particular using folders for internal memory and the SD cards. The Satmap website says that these have to be delivered by SD card.
Edit: I've just had a chat with Satmap support and it looks like the card I need is the Yellow one for the Active 10 Plus (UK). If anyone wants to pass theirs on for a few beer tokens, I would be more than happy to take it off their hands. |

I gave in and ordered one on Friday and it arrived on Saturday.
I can now create folders for managing routes in the internal memory and I am very happy!
If anyone wants a platform upgrade card, let me know. Just make sure that you check with Satmap that you need a yellow card first, because that's the only one I have. |
