| My GO740LIVE decided today to start misbehaving. The map redrawing is very slow, when travelling on a motorway the map "jumps" down around 1/4 inch every second or so instead of scrolling down. When driving in town I can turn a corner and travel maybe 100yards or more before the map catches up. The only POI's I have activated are the PGPSW speed cameras. Any suggestions to speed things up? Other than this I've had no problems with this TomTom. |

Is your 740 connecting to a mobile phone via bluetooth?
I have had the odd occasion where my 540 seems to get into some kind of loop trying to connect to my phone, and cannot re-draw the map properly.
I disable bluetooth, and then when I am off the road I reboot the TT and re-enable BT. |

| Yes, but it always is connected to my phone, but this is the first time it's run slow like this. I'll try again tomorrow with bluetooth disabled, and post back. |

Do you have them set to Show POI on map as well as Warn when near?
Each POI enabled will slow down the Map redraw. Warn when Near doesn't have as much processing 'overload'.

Update. Used all weekend without bluetooth enabled and everything running normally. Tomorrow it's back to work and I have to have bluetooth enabled. so I'll know then if there is a problem.
I do have the PGPSW speed cameras enabled and showing on screen. |

If it is like the issue I had, then it will probably work fine.
A couple of times it has just got into a loop. I have disabled it and then re-anabled before my next trip and all has been fine. |
