Yes it should still be possible, although there MIGHT be a few features in the maps now that aren't in the Colour scheme editor (I seem to remember there was no way to change the colour of the 3D buildings when TT introduced those - although they've scrapped them again!).

The files you create still go into the "schemes" folder.

Lastly, you do realise there are loads of ready-made schemes available on the web and via Home, don't you?

any idea what category on the colour scheme is used for the route arrow border colour? My arrows are yellow and the border is a grey, but I've tried changing all the grey colours but none of them seem to work, is it a fixed colour?
Also does anyone know what the last few colours in the list do?

Here's the one that I created to use in my Mondeo at night, it matches the colour scheme of the illuminated dials:
Code:

000,100,000 // woodland - lcd green
250,250,000 // beach/dune/sand - warning yellow
058,058,058 // industrial zone - very dark grey
000,064,128 // harbor/marina - dark blue
000,100,000 // moor/heath - lcd green
000,100,000 // marsh - lcd green

080,080,080 // airport - dark grey
080,080,080 // runway - dark grey
070,190,040 // route background ('below' the road) - dial green
250,000,000 // route foreground (on top of the road) - needle red
000,000,000 // blocked road (dotted on top of any road) - black
250,115,030 // traffic jam (dotted on top of any road) - heater orange
070,190,040 // highlighted / selected (line on top of any road) - dial green
250,250,000 // unreachable / not allowed to drive (dotted on top of any road) - warning yellow
070,190,040 // motorway solid - dial green
128,128,128 // motorway edge - light grey

070,190,040 // major road inside - dial green
128,128,128 // major road text - light grey

000,000,000 // NavView: status/safeview panel background - black
070,190,040 // NavView: status/safeview panel borders - dial green
070,190,040 // NavView: status/safeview panel text - dial green
000,100,000 // NavView: status/safeview panel dim text - lcd green
000,000,000 // NavView: next highway background - black
070,190,040 // NavView: next highway border - dial green
070,190,040 // NavView: next highway text - dial green
000,000,000 // NavView: next highway EXIT background - black
070,190,040 // NavView: next highway EXIT border - dial green
070,190,040 // NavView: next highway EXIT text - dial green
070,190,040 // NavView: routeplanning progressbar - dial green

The route arrow border is near the bottom. All including the last few are documented with what they are supposed to do but experience shows that some seem to do nothing! Perhaps it varies between models.

I tried various combinations to no avail so had an idea, I changed everything in the scheme to white to see what was still hard coded, basically just Road Names, The route arrow outline stays grey, but strangely enough this is also hard coded, it's actually the grounds of a hospital near me. doesn't show up on route overview map though, there everything is white.

JoolsTwo, did you ever find out the problem?

Ive recreated the journey, but i cannot replicate the map colour error. The hospital area colour changes on every colour scheme ive tried.

Does the colour change if you use the TT colour schemes, & on night vision?

I tried the grey scheme and it shows as grey, so it's obviously not hard-coded. I'll have to experiment a bit more, I don't think I use that colour in any of my schemes so not sure what colour category it's using

finally sussed it Smile
It's hard-coded as a slightly darker shade of the built-up area colour. So if you have built up areas as white you get that orange colour, otherwise you get a slighter darker shade of whatever colour is in the scheme. Did some more browsing around in to map with the white scheme to see if anything else is hard-coded, the only other things I could see were tunnels and the edges of overbridges that show grey (or a darker shaded of the scheme colour)
