Hi all,
Even with another two map updates which I have paid for Home is offering new maps if I give them another £38. So now with 850.2781 map installed in my XL Live IQ I can no longer drive seamlessly across Europe now they want to charge me more for the privilege. Well done TT.

I don't understand what you're saying.

If you have another two updates pending on your subscription, you'll get those updates, won't you?

Yes, TT have made a stupid decision to split the Europe map into zones for those machines with limited memory (although you do get all the zones), but there's nothing you can BUY that will make any difference, is there?

What I'am trying to say is with two more updates due to me and have the latest map, when I connect to Home it's saying " Newer versions of your map are available. Get them for as little as £ 8.95 per quarter with our new Map Update Service". This should be offered when my map is older which it is not.

If you are connected to Home but not logged in you will be offered the map update service.

I went for a device that covered the whole of Europe, what I didn't want was to pay for a device that limited me to a few countries at a time. Now they are saying that the zone I have on it is now out of date ( which it is not ).
All they had to do to the maps was to cut off the extra rubbish ie IQ routing and all the colour cr*p. Then I could have travelled from one end of Europe to the other end. After all I paid for a Europe year map update not a window of it. As I said "thanks TT".

Similar problem here.

The reply I got from TomTom Support was:

I can confirm the Map Update Service runs until the 29 September this year, however, this has been manually added on on our systems, as your
initial subscription ran out in July, so it takes effect from the end of this date until the 29th September. There will be no disruption in service, but
HOME is viewing this as two separate services, which is why it is prompting you to subscribe again. If you do, it will add on from the end of
September for a year (or however long you pay for). I hope this makes sense.

The latest map is 8.50. Again, if TomTom Home is saying to update, it could be relating to the mapshare service which is the free corrections offered
by TomTom and the community.

Strange !!!
