I'm a bit reluctant to add items because of the lack of memory. I had a SD card on my 720 but found it slowed everything down.

What did you put on the card, just a map or the entire system?

All of it, couldn't get it to run with just the map.

I managed to buy a rececent class 6 8gb micro sd card from play.com for around £10 which I am currently using in my 750. This has allowed me to take advantage of LMG and download the full europe 2gb map as opposed to the smalled WE map. Happy days.

Yes I think the speed of newsagent's card might have been the problem.
On any Go since (and including) the x20 range, you should be able to put:
1. everything on internal memory (if there's space), or:
2. JUST a map on the card and run the rest of the system off the internal memory OR
3. put everything onto the card and run the system from there.

With the old 520 I had the whole OS & maps on a 2GB Sandisk Extreme III, it was easier to update, just needing a card slot, ran very smoothly and I always had a spare, if older, working system on the TomTom internal memory jsut in case!

Just ordered a 4GB Micro SD High Capacity card so will see how it works.

On another point, the Kate voice is still as bad when reading street names as on the 720. The Navigon sounds so much nicer, I would have thought TomTom would have improved it by now!!
